Who are we?

We are a town centre church with a sanctuary and modern ancillary buildings that are well suited to meet our needs as a strong worshipping community with significant involvement in serving the wider community in Maidenhead. Our membership is drawn from various parts of Maidenhead and the environs and comprises people of many nationalities.

Our fellowship is organised and supported using a committee structure, which is constantly reviewed to ensure that it is robust and effective. The Minister and Youth & Family Worker are supported by a team of elders (most of whom have a pastoral group in their care), pastoral visitors and various work groups. Most elders and pastoral visitorshave a pastoral group in their care. We have a number of organisations that provide friendship opportunities for a wide age-range and give support and understanding in all that the members do together. Children and young adults play an active part in our life and worship.

We believe in outreach to the community with a large Christian commitment and a small URC banner. As part of this, we support the work of “Churches Together in Maidenhead” to ensure that we play our part in the ecumenical movement of “coming closer”.

We wish to provide visible witness to the Christian way of life by being involved as a fellowship and as individuals in the life of the local community. Our goal is to increase the strength and impact of Christianity in Maidenhead through a growing and strengthening West Street. We feel called to offer mission and witness to all who need spiritual support and so we support outreach (near and far) both financially and practically.
