Notes for February Enterprise

Many of you will remember that we invited Rev John Johansen-Berg to lead our worship one Sunday in June 2010, and he spoke to us about some of the projects in which he is involved in developing countries. See the information in the Link for details of the project we will be
supporting. At the time we promised to hold a fund-raising event to give more information and to raise some money to support his work. We have decided to hold a “bring and share” lunch on Sunday February 26th and we hope a good number will be able to come along. We shall charge £5 per person (children free) in order to raise funds, and we shall also hold a retiring collection for those unable to join us for lunch.

Some people have reported difficulty in downloading the electronic version of Enterprise due to its size usually when photos are included). Please note that the current edition is always available on the Church website and can be accessed from there.

2012 is our special 350th anniversary year and we have been considering some events to mark this. David Finch has put out an appeal for old photographs of past church activities, and we plan to hold a lunch party on Anniversary Sunday in October. We should like to invite past members and friends to this and will do some research in the archives to make sure we invite as many as possible. In the meantime, if you can think of people who should be invited, please let James or Sheila know. We have other ideas for the year. Watch this space!
