Enterprise—January 2012
Dear Enterprise Readers
Welcome to this year’s first Edition of the Enterprise. I write to wish you all a happy New Year of our Lord Jesus who was born unto us in Bethlehem. As I write this, I haven’t yet managed to calm down fully following the joy and excitements of Christmas! I do not know how it was for you but, it all went very well for my family. All my girls were around and, as if the house was not already full, we also had with us two other families (one of 6 and the other of 4). The three men were exempt from doing anything, save eating and quenching their thirst on both Christmas and Boxing days! The overwhelming number of ladies meant that men would not have coped with their higher standards of ‘multi-tasking’ and ‘kitchen management’ – something that the men chose not to argue against!
Before all the feasting, and apart from preparing my sermons, I had one thing in my mind, which was to pray
earnestly that Maisie Dennis, (Anne Seller and Harry Graves from Windsor) would receive the healing and supportive touch from our Lord Jesus, especially at that time when the world around them seemed too busy even to notice that Christmas might not all be merry-making for everybody. Praise be to God that the faith of the three, supported by others, gave them strength to sail through that time of pain and anxiety. Thanks to all of you who prayed for Maisie and the other two from Windsor.
May the Lord make His face to shine in your lives afresh this 2012th Year of our Lord. May the New year bring with it a refreshed sense of purpose in living. Let us press on with seeking to be Christ-like in all our attitudes to life. And above all, may there be enough room in the inns of our hearts for the Christ child to grow in us to the glory of the Father. Amen.
Be blessed now and always.
With much love,
Pastor Owiny Laber
Christmas Greetings
