Lorry left for Poland today!

Nappies, food for children, baby milk and so much more left today to help Poland to support the refugees from Ukraine. A huge yellow lorry drew up outside the Maidenhead United Reformed Church which is the collection point for the project. The team of volunteers who have been working all week packed into it 590 boxes of food, baby milk, sanitary products and other essentials as well as 256 boxes of nappies of assorted sizes. All donated by individuals, companies and local schools.

Maidenhead URC is the collection point for the Aid to Ukraine project which was started by three local mums with family in Poland. The lorry will drive to one of the refugee centres in Poland which is desperately trying to cope with thousands of traumatised mothers and children fleeing from Ukraine.
