From the Pastor's Desk...

Dear friend

You probably have already got wind of the wonderful news that, after a lot of praying and waiting on the Lord, Christ Church - Windsor has called me to be their Minister (as well as continuing to minister to Maidenhead as well). I am also pleased to confirm that I have gladly accepted that calling. I would like to thank both churches and the other partner chrches within the Wessex Synod for all the support - prayerful and practical - that they accorded during the time leading to the agreement that Maidenhead and Windsor should have a Joint Pastorate. Special thanks to the team from the Synod Pastoral Committee (headed by Philip Jones), and the Interim Moderator of Windsor.

The long-standing brotherly and sisterly relationship and ministerial cooperation between the two churches has finally reached its new stage which, with the help of God, is likely to enable the two churches in the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead to prosper and revitalise the spiritual saltiness of the borough world.

Your continual prayer is most needed, especially now that arrangements have been put together to have me inducted to the Windsor Church on 5th December 2009. Please, note that the TIME for the Induction is set to be at 14 30 Hrs (2.30 p.m.) sharp. I am delighted that the Moderator of the Wessex Synod, the Revd. Adrian Bulley will be presiding.

Please, note that Car Parking at Windsor will be rather limited and tight on the day (an afternoon of a Saturday in December)! There will be someone at the church gate guiding drivers how to get to the public car parks close by.

Look forward to seeing a good number turning up in support of me (and more so - the two churches). Those who turn up may have a taste of a Northern Ugandan culture!

In the meantime, continue to stay close to Christ so He continues to touch us with the blessing of His love, mercy and grace.

Yours in Christ.
