4 Operation Christmas Child

Time for us to be thinking about filling our shoeboxes for the Samaritan's Purse Appeal - Operation Christmas Child.  Leaflets are available in the Link.  Please help yourself.  We will launch our campaign on Saturday, 6 November 2010 at 2.00 pm when we will be privileged to have a visit from Diana Arustei – a young Romanian lady who now works in the UK and who received a shoebox when she was a child.

Processing starts on Monday 8 November at 10.00 am.

Should you want to know more or need any help please see Maggie Liddle, Doreen or Amber Pearce.

PS  Craft Group on Monday 6 September 2010 from 1.30 pm to 3.15 pm when we will be using knitted squares to make into bags under the careful guidance of a Team Member – Janet McGregor. We will also have a Bring and Buy and the money raised will go towards the transportation of shoeboxes

Operation Christmas Child: Windsor

I am doing the Christmas shoeboxes again this year, and hope that as many members as possible of URC will help to fill them; it is a most rewarding thing to do. I plead again only for contents listed in the leaflets which I will provide. The idea is for each child to have similar boxes according to age and gender. I have picked up several items during the year which I will keep at home to fill up gaps in the boxes. AND I have made about ten knitted hats for those who do not want to have the bother!

The filled boxes have to be delivered to me at Christ Church

Windsor by SUNDAY 14th November.
