3 Thanks Maidenhead
Olwen, Anthony, Frank and I would like to thank you all for making us a part of your Sunday afternoon celebration. The rest of our congregation don't know what they're missing. The company was great and the barbecue delicious (compliments to the chefs). I think we would all still be there enjoying the wonderful sunshine if it hadn't been for all these wanna-be golfers anxious to get back to the Open on telly. And we still didn't get a British winner!
What was a big surprise to me at the party was the number of Scots in your congregation. I used to belong to Trinity Slough which was full of Scots including the minister but I hadn't realised there was another group so close at hand. What I want to know is why I haven't seen you at Scottish Country Dancing? It's held every Tuesday evening in Maidenhead at St Mary's primary school. You don't need a partner but it helps if you know your left from your right (you wouldn't believe the number of people who stick up the wrong hand when we say, Put your left hand in!) and being able to count to eight is a plus. It's great fun and we're a friendly bunch. It's easy exercise and very sociable and Scottish Country Dancing is danced all over the world. Frank and I danced three times when we were on holiday in South Africa in March and we're looking forward to dancing in New Zealand next year. So what are you
waiting for? And you don't have to be Scottish. Frank is a Londoner, our Chairman is from OZ and we've had members from all over the world.
Give me a call on 01753 852874 to learn more about it. And thanks again for the barbie.
